How to Find a Cheap PS3
Have you ever tried to find a PS3 on sale? If you do see them on sale it’s not much off the regular price. It can be annoying if you only have a set amount of money to work with and it’s not quite enough to make the purchase.
I’m right there with you! The justifcation for the purchase may have been difficult in the beginning but there was plenty of it in the end. To start building a PS3 fund I thought I would begin by selling my old PS2 games. I’ve given serious thought to cleaning out my closet, trying to find some of those old jeans that now seem to be in fashion and see if I could sell them on eBay. I even cleaned out the garage scrounging for old tools and junk that I haven’t used in years so I could sell them on eBay. I even once had a garage sale to sell all my old junk so I could fund the purchase of the PS3. I grossed just over 50 bucks. By the way, garage sales will not get you the most money! I definitely recommend auctioning your old stuff off on eBay, you’ll make much more money.
I’ve been there before. There really is no comparison with other gaming consoles. A primary selling point for me is that it is Blu-Ray. Not only are all the games HD but now my movies are too. That’s a hard-sell to the wife! Once I was able to get my wife to really look at HD she was convinced and we’ve never gone back to analog. I had won her over on every point exept the price.
I’ve been digging around for a while and I’ve discovered that to get the best price on the best game system that plays Blu-Ray you can’t get a better value than with a PS3. Even when it’s not on sale! You can buy a Blu-Ray DVD player for your movies but it will not play PS3 games. While XBox does offer HD it is not the preferred format. If at all possible I wanted to get the PS3 at a discount.
I searched on eBay and some other traditional auction sites and found that there really aren’t any PS3 Sale Prices out there. They show perceived value by including all these extras that you may or may not even care about. The goal here is to spend as little money as possible, not more.
I had to get creative with my thinking and break away from the herd. I started investigating unique bid auction sites. For my money there is simply no comparison to www.auctions4acause.com. The selection they have for affordable items is far superior to the other sites. You’ll find cars, boats and vacations on the other sites. You can pretty it up all you want but I just want the PS3!
Once I found that site I knew I had what I was looking for. Two thumbs up as they had the exact item I wanted and I could get it for cheap. I went there and created an account. I placed 3 bids and hoped that they were unique and the lowest. Unfortunately, I didn’t get it the first time. It was another couple of days before another one came up for auction. I placed a few more bids and slept well that night. Bingo! This time I had a winner. 7 days later I was playing Hot Shots Golf on my new PS3. All told I had bid less than $59.64. Not too bad if I say so myself.
It can take a few minutes of reading to truly grasp the concept of the lowest unique bid auction style. But once you get it, it can be addicting. Since that time that I won the PS3 I’ve bid on and won 3 other items including an iPod Nano (they have the best iPod Prices) and $400 gas card. I’m getting about 4 to 1 on my money so far with $1,200 in items for less than $360 in bidding.
If you’re looking for the best prices don’t bother with the Best Buys or Walmarts. Go register at Auctions4aCause and get a great deal.
