Beach Wedding Favors Could Be A Wonderful Addition To A Beach Themed Wedding

Posted by Sarah on Feb 9, 2009 in Fine Articles

The wedding favors are an essential part of today’s weddings. Usually, the guests will receive a small gift from the couple known as wedding favors. Nice wedding favors are a good way for the married couple to say thanks. They will also double as a great keep sake so that the guests will remember the event. Many different ceremonies will have a number of different themes. A popular theme to have is a beach themed wedding. Having fabric aisle runners will help in beach themed wedding because your feet wont sink in the sand.

There is really no need for a long train on a wedding dress if you are going to have a beach themed wedding. Usually, couples have a hard time choosing beach themed wedding decorations because it is usually so windy. Be mindful that you are going to be in the sun for a while so make sure you don’t use items that may melt such as chocolate and ice cream. What you may want to do is follow the trend and base your beach favors on nature.

There are so many beaches today that we allow you to host your wedding ceremony on their beach, you will have your pick of the litter. In the interest of not getting your ceremony interrupted, you may want to call someone and get a rule book to see what you can and can’t do.

Some of the more common beach wedding favors are based on sea shells. Some brides choose to go with other beach themed wedding ideas. You should be able to find great beach wedding favors for about $1 each. These wonderful favors will be loved by everyone who receives them.

Manchester Restaurants Gear Up For Restaurant Week 2009

Posted by Sarah on Feb 9, 2009 in Fine Articles

Internet travel and leisure website Last Minute.com has announced that beginning on 2nd March 2009, its very popular Restaurant Week will begin. This year the event will take place in 3 UK cities, not only in London but Manchester restaurants and restaurants in Birmingham will also take part. The Restaurant Week is based on the New York Restaurant Week, that has been successful for a number of years now.

Last year in London around 100 restaurants took part in the week, including a variety of Michelin star establishments including Richard Corrigan’s Lindsay House, Almeida, Tamarind and Quilon. The decision to expand to include Manchester and Birmingham is a brilliant idea as both of these cities are well known for their fine eating facilities.

The brilliant thing about the event is that it benefits both the restaurants and consumers. The restaurant week gives visitors to Last Minute.com the chance to experience fine dining at a fraction of the cost, which will no doubt help with everyones finances. The cities themselves should benefit from the tourism expenditure and Birmingham and Manchester restaurant will benefit from bums on seats as well as added exposure from the press.

Last Minute.com has teamed up with Capital 95.8’s, Help a London Child appeal for the third year running and a percentage from each booking being donated to the charity. This year they are expecting the participation of about 40 restaurants in Manchester and Birmingham and over 150 in London. Hopefully next year the event will expand to include Liverpool restaurants and possibly some Scottish and North Wales restaurants.
